New Books Framework Now Live

NEUPC members are able to access the new national agreement for Books, eBooks, Standing Orders and Related Materials. Awarded by the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium the agreement, which will run from 1 August 2017 – 31 July 2019, is one of the largest value global book agreements, worth up to £90 million per year, and offers members access to a range of products via the following lots:

Lot 1: English language print books for library stock
Lot 2: Mainland European language books
Lot 3: Standing orders
Lot 4: ebooks for library access
Lot 5: etextbooks
Lot 6: English language books for institution department purchase (non-library)
Lot 7: Staff and student sales

This new agreement delivers further savings to the HE sector, encourages suppliers to deliver the ebook requirements of institutions, and brings together all the ebook suppliers onto a standard ebook license.

The agreement has been awarded to 13 suppliers across the lots, and includes both new and well-established market leaders:

Sustainability is also an important part of this agreement with all suppliers assessed on sustainability practices and most offering re-use, recycling and disposal schemes.
