NEUPC recognise employing suitably qualified procurement staff is vital for our universities to deliver efficiencies and value for money, but a skills shortage in the profession means a lot of them find filling these positions a challenge.
At the NEUPC, we hosted a range of sessions in partnership with the NWUPC.

The sessions were free for our members and were open to individuals across all levels of Procurement. Those new to the procurement community and the highly experienced procurement professionals.
The collaborative CPD sessions between NEUPC and NWUPC have now come to an end. We would like to thank all those that were able to attend the sessions and we hope you found the sessions beneficial. We appreciate the great feedback you provided.
NEUPC welcomed over 175 delegates to 11 courses hosted at the Leeds office, a short walk from the Leeds train station. The CPD mantel is now being handed over to the new HEPA L&D group with Debbie Shore (NEUPC) and Rebecca Morris (Durham) flying the flag for NEUPC member requirements.
Some of the feedback we received on our CPD sessions:
Knowledgeable trainers and well presented.

Engaging, interactive, use of real life examples.

A good range of information for people of all different levels of understanding (from new procurement individuals right the way up to contract managers).
-Purchasing Team
Really good balance of group work/trainers speaking. Kept me engaged for the full day. Good dynamic between Mark and Debbie who could both offer relevant examples behind the theory from their own experiences.
