Sustainable Furniture Solutions: Invitation to tender

We are delighted to announce that the new national framework tender for the Sustainable Furniture Solutions framework has been published on Delta.
UKUPC members from APUC, HEPCW, LUPC, NEUPC, NWUPC, SUPC and TUCO alongside CPC will be able to benefit from this framework that has been split into 3 lots, which have in turn have been split into a total of 13 sub-lots:
  • 1a: Refurbishment and Repair – Standard furniture refurbishment projects so universities can reuse existing stock
  • 1b: Sustainable Furniture Design for Projects – Full design services to re-design university campus space, with the focus on refurbished furniture
  • 1c:  e-Marketplace – A online platform, along with full warehousing and transportation capability, to encourage refurbished furniture pieces to stay within the HE sector.
  • 1d: Furniture as a Service (FaaS) – A lease service specifically using refurbished furniture
  • 2a: Office and Catering – Wide variety of on-campus furniture products
  • 2b: Residential – Furniture intended to be placed in residential complexes, such as Halls of Residence
  • 2c: Office at Home – With the increasing demand for home working equipment, this sub-lot will supply, deliver and install furniture in domestic premises
  • 2d: Beds and Mattresses – Including removal of used and surplus items
  • 3a: IT/AV Integrated and/or Security Furniture - Furniture demonstrably designed to integrate AV and/or IT equipment types, and/or is especially designed for secure storage
  • 3b: Laboratory (practical sciences) Furniture – Specialist furniture suitable for contact with chemicals, temperatures, solids, liquids, gases etc
  • 3c: Auditoria and Arena Seating Solutions – Modern, forward thinking solutions for university lecture theatres to enhance student learning experiences
  • 3d: Modular Bathroom Pods – Specialist pods to include installation
  • 3e: Workplace Design Consultancy Services – Specialist, impartial design consultancy services
