Contrary to popular belief, apprenticeships are no longer just for school leavers starting out on their career.
With the introduction of the new Apprenticeship Levy, many people already working in Procurement roles will be able to study as part of their full time role. Studying for an apprenticeship enables learners to gain valuable qualifications, whilst retaining their current job role.
During the apprenticeship you will develop an understanding of the full procurement cycle, from identifying the need, developing specifications, tendering, contract management and supplier relationship management, whilst adhering to applicable EU or university procurement regulations to ensure that we buy the right product, at the right cost and at the right time. Typical day to day responsibilities may include placing orders with suppliers, chasing deliveries, liaising with users and suppliers to resolve issues and providing support to the wider Procurement Team.
AS PART OF THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME:
- You will achieve the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply, along with one module from the Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
- In the final six months of the programme, you will agree and deliver a procurement project with your employers and academic support from NEUPC.
- Apprentices are required to attend CIPS teaching sessions, LEVEL 4 TIMETABLE 2022/23 dates.
- In addition you will attend study skills sessions for the end point assessment.
